For more than 65 years, generations of dancers have walked through our doors to learn, grow, perform, and discover a lifelong love of dance. Today, that tradition continues as Legacy in Motion Dance Center, formerly Honey’s School of Dance.
At Legacy in Motion, we believe dance is about so much more than steps. We are a family-focused studio with Christ at the foundation of our values, committed to developing confident, compassionate, hardworking young people while providing excellent dance education in a positive and encouraging environment.
Our dancers are challenged to reach their fullest potential while learning the importance of discipline, teamwork, perseverance, kindness, and grace. Whether a student dreams of competing, performing professionally, or simply wants a place to dance, make friends, and have fun, there is a place for them at Legacy.
We proudly offer training for dancers of a variety of ages and experience levels, from a child’s very first dance class through advanced and competitive training. Our goal is to meet each dancer where they are, celebrate their individual strengths, and help them continue growing both as dancers and as people.
Most importantly, we want Legacy to feel like home—a place where dancers are known, encouraged, supported, and given opportunities to create friendships and memories that last far beyond their time in the studio.
We honor the dancers and teachers who came before us, invest in the dancers standing in front of us today, and look forward to the generations still to come.

Our roots run deep in the Ocala community. What began as Honey’s School of Dance more than 65 years ago continues today as Legacy in Motion Dance Center. We are honored to carry forward generations of tradition while continuing to grow, evolve, and create new opportunities for today’s dancers.
