Biography
Honey remembers walking with her mother one mile to dance class at her teacher’s house every Saturday, starting when she was just 3 years old. Sick or not, Honey never missed a class. Her most adored teacher was Mrs. Doris Eaton- Rockette turned instructor of the legendary Radio City Rockettes. She moved to Marion County in 1953 from New Jersey and attended Ocala High School. While still a student, she taught classes at a local studio and helped organize dance performances for assemblies at the high school. Honey has studied under dance legends such as Roni Mahler of the Ballet Theatre, Luigi noted jazz teacher, and Art Stone and Danny Hoctor- tap specialists just to name a few.
Honey gave up teaching to have children, but it was her husband, Don, who encouraged her go back to her passion and start a studio once the youngest child was 2-years-old. Since then, the dance studio has become a family affair.
